Jeff began his career in comedy clubs in 1978. Humiliated by the low pay and lack of respect, Jeff turned to drugs and alcohol, nearly destroying his marriage, family and career. He got sober In 1987, found God a decade later, and then did what all good comedians do…. found the humor in it all.

A live comedy favorite, Jeff has performed at the most prestigious comedy venues in the world, and headlined numerous national tours. He’s been featured at the Grand Ole Opry, Bill Gaither’s Homecoming tours, the Presidential Inauguration of George W. Bush, and the National Prayer Breakfast. Always supporting the military, Jeff has also performed for American troops around the world, including in Bahrain and on ships in the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.

His extensive television appearances include Showtime, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, VH1’s Standup Spotlight, Glenn Beck, Huckabee and more. He starred in the syndicated comedy series, Bananas, and his own one-hour comedy special, Happy Wife, Happy Life, on Odyssey Channel and FamilyNet. He also starred in the critically acclaimed film, Apostles of Comedy, and was featured in the Warner Bros. comedy film, Thou Shalt Laugh.

Jeff co-headlined CRTV’s Make Comedy Great Again Tour this past fall, joining forces with Ross Bennett, Earl David Reed, Tina Giorgi and Brad Upton for the 100% politics-free stand-up comedy tour featuring some of the best clean comedians working today. The family-friendly comedy tour was filmed for TV and aired New Year’s Eve on CRTV/TheBlaze TV.

Jeff notes he had an ‘epiphany’ when his first child was six months old. Struggling with drugs and alcohol, his marriage and family were plagued by his anger, rage, addictions, and despair. Stuck in his misery, Jeff recounts his story of God’s relentless love and describes God’s efforts to get his attention as the ‘hound of heaven’. Pursued by God for years until he surrendered. An un-examined life is not worth living – a quote that Jeff claims sums up his early years.
