Pastor Veronne G. Carter
“Learn your child” – blended family father of 8 ( 7 girls and 1 boy) – Exploring how to ‘study’ your kids and know them better than they know themselves. Emphasis on how important each child is in a larger or blended family setting .
Veronne G. Carter has spent much of his life working with youth and the arts in many capacities. He spent the majority of his youth acting, writing, producing and performing urban music. Saved at age 19, he changed the direction of his artistic pursuits – from seeking his own glory through fame and fortune, to using his gifts to tell the world about Jesus and to help encourage and teach others to do the same. Since then, Veronne has worked in many industries: music, law, retail, and HR, until receiving his call into full time Christian ministry – a call that was being developed over many years. Today, Veronne serves as a Pastor of First Wesleyan Church in Nashville, TN, being used by God to bring a smaller church into new life as a healthy church family of many cultures, complexions, backgrounds, economic levels, and generations. The church’s identifying element is having the many generations stand side by side in ministry – from praise and worship, to public presentations, to prayer. Veronne also teaches acting and performance classes to young people and serves as a Chaplain at a local recovery ministry for men. One of Veronne’s most treasured duties is his job as the father of 8 children (ages 6 through 20) and a husband to Vonetta Carter for 11 years. They are a blended family and have seen God work through the merging of 2 families into one: building a genuine love and connection among each person.
